Doctrinal Statement

The Holy Scriptures: I believe in the plenary, verbal inspiration of God’s Word. The Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God. God, through inspiration of the Holy Spirit, breathed the very words of the Bible. The Masoretic Text of the Old Testament and the Textus Receptus of the New Testament are the preserved Word of God. I use the King James Bible when working in the English language.  The Bible is my sole authority for faith and practice. (II Tim. 3:16-17, II Peter 1:19-21, Rev. 1:11, 18-19, 22:18-19)

The Trinity: I believe we serve one triune God. God is three distinct persons, yet unified in one complete being. The three persons of the trinity (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit) are co-existent and co-equal in power and glory. (Genesis 1:26, Deut. 6:4, Is. 6:3, Is. 45, Matt. 3:16-17, 28:19, John 1:1-18, 10:30, 16:7-15, II Cor. 13:14)

Jesus Christ: I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God; He was completely God, yet completely human; He lived a sinless life, and voluntarily became our substitutionary sacrifice on the cross. Christ died, was buried, rose again on the third day, and is coming again to rapture his saints to Heaven. I believe in the personal, imminent, pre-tribulational, and pre-millennial return of Christ. (Gen. 3:15, Is. 7:14, 9:6, 53:1-12, Matt. 1:18-25, Matt. 27, Luke 2:1-20, John 1:1-18, I Cor. 15:51-58, I Thess. 4:13-18, I Peter 2:21-25)

The Holy Spirit: I believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. He reproves the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He is personally involved in convicting the hearts of men for salvation. The Holy Spirit regenerates, fills, seals, separates for service, empowers, and gifts believers. The Holy Spirit can also be quenched, grieved, lied to, resisted, and blasphemed. (John 16:7-15, Acts 13:2, I Cor. 2:13, 3:16, I Thess. 5:19 Eph. 1:13, 4:30)

Condition of Man: I believe man was created by God from the dust of the ground. Because of man’s sin, he was separated from God and condemned to death. All men are sinful by nature and by choice, and will spend eternity in Hell unless atonement (blood of Jesus Christ) is made for his sin. (Gen. 3, Rom. 1:20, Rom. 3, Rom. 5:12-21, Eph. 2:1-3)

Salvation: I believe salvation is by grace alone through the redeeming, blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ. There is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Salvation is a free gift given by God at the moment one calls upon the Lord out of a sincere, repentant heart. Once a sinner is saved, he is secure in his salvation by the sealing of the Holy Spirit for all eternity. (John 3:3-21, 10:27-30, 14:6, Acts 4:12, 16:31, Romans 10:9-13, Eph.1:13, 2:8-10, Titus 3:5, 1 John 5:13)

The Church: I believe in the visible, local, New Testament, Bible believing church. The church is a group of organized, baptized, autonomous believer’s of whom Christ is the head. The church has two offices and two ordinances, and I believe God gave the Great Commission to be fulfilled by Christians in their local churches. (Matt. 28:19-20, Acts 2:41-47, Eph. 5:23, Col. 1:18)

Heaven and Hell: I believe Heaven and Hell are literal places. Heaven is the dwelling place of God; Hell and the Lake of Fire are the places of eternal punishment originally created for Satan and his angels. Only those saved by the blood of Christ, who have their names written in the book of life, will live forever heaven; and all those who reject Christ will be cast into the lake of fire to be tormented for all eternity. (Ps. 9:17, Matt. 25:46, Luke 16:19-31, John 14:1-4, II Thess. 1:8-9, Rev. 20:10-15, 21:8,27)
